  1. HIJAAK PRO 4.0 - README FILE FOR WINDOWS 95 USERS
  2.  
  3. This file includes tips to help you get the most out of HiJaak PRO.  For
  4.  that reason alone, it is worthwhile reading! It also contains
  5.  last-minute information that did not make it into the manual and a few
  6.  corrections to the manual. If you want to print this file for future
  7.  reference, be sure you are in the HiJaak PRO directory and type:

  29. HiJaak PRO is an upgrade of  HiJaak PRO 3.0 that marries the power of the old
  30.  HiJaak PRO with the ease of use of HiJaak 95. It offers the most extensive
  31.  graphics file format support around, including over 85 raster, vector and
  32.  metafile formats in both 2D and 3D, and full PostScript.  You can view,
  33.  convert, and process existing files in any of these formats, and create
  34.  files by scanning and capturing. To make all this complicated work easier,
  35.  HiJaak PRO 4.0 automatically adds its most common commands to the shortcut
  36.  menu of supported formats anywhere in Windows. It also creates thumbnails
  37.  of images and stores file information in the HiJaak Catalog. You can use this
  38.  information to find similar files and organize files into custom folders. You
  39.  can even define your own keywords and custom text or numeric attributes to
  40.  attach to files and use for custom organization and  searches.

  217. INSTALLATION & COMPABILITY NOTES
  218. Please read Install.txt and Network.txt for information about
  219.  installing HiJaak PRO 4.0.  Please note this product is not
  220.  currently designed to run under Windows NT.  Future versions
  221.  of the product will be NT compatible.

  223. For those owners of HJGS 95, it is not recommended that you install
  224.  HiJaak PRO 4.0 over HJGS 95.  Instabilities may occur and therefore
  225.  it is recommended that you uninstall HJGS 95 before installing
  226.  HiJaak PRO 4.0  However, you will lose the ability to use the HJGS 95
  227.  editors and slideshow.  Many users have no problem installing
  228.  HiJaak PRO to a separate directory and you are encouraged to read
  229.  the Install.txt, "Compatibility with Previous Versions" for
  230.  retaining both products on your computer.

  234. HINTS & TIPS
  235.  
  236. It is possible that Drag & Drop may not work if you are in 256 color
  237.  mode. Try other OLE methods such as Copy/Paste Special or Insert
  238.  Object.  Or try a high color display mode.
  239.  
  240. If you experience some problems using a Microtek scanner with
  241.  HiJaak PRO 4.0. you may need drivers which are supplied by Microtek.
  242.  We suggest you visit the Microtek web site and download their most
  243.  recent drivers.  These appear to solve the problem. The address is:
